Simulationxpress allows you to test your models and predict how they"ll behave in real life situations. Simulationxpress is included free with every seat of solidworks. For example, the simulation can only be run on parts, not assemblies. Most steels and aluminum alloys can be assumed linear in typical applications. Deformations must be small in relation to its overall size. Left one is ok, but not right. Loads to not change over time and are applied slowly. Simulationxpress icon is the very bottom one: Simulationxpress feature manager will open on the right. Fixtures, loads, material, etc (some of the tasks) The units used in simulationxpress can be set independently from the units of the solidworks part. Options from bottom right to change units: These units can be used independently from the units used in the solidworks document. Show annotations for max and min result points.
