Shows how to setup a beam mesh. Create geometry define material create study. Unless you know the force or moment is zero, use the rigid end condition. If all moments are zero, set end condition to hinge. If all forces are zero, set end condition to slide. Manual condition allows you to specify pin and slide conditions in specific directions. Simulations >> options >> automatically update beam joints . Explains the results of a weldment analysis. To see tabulated data, right-click results >> list beam forces >> set beam range (in order to isolate beam that i am interested in, rather than showing a long list of all beams) Review beam diagrams: right-click results folder >> beam diagrams. In a beam analysis consisting of fixed joints, there is an option to list reaction forces and moments at the fixed joints. Right-click results folder >> list result force.
