Concept of aristeia leads to the warrior ethic= warriors without battle are useless, and there is glory in battle; warriors are privileged members of society. Example: achilles" flaws- his heel, but more importantly, his hubris. Hamartia= fatal flaw that causes a fatal fall, comes from a concept in which someone takes aim with a bow and arrow and misses, always befalls a tragic hero. Hubris= fatal pride, arrogance, blinding pride, warriors have a right to be proud, but too much pride will kill, type of hamartia. Greek morality does not come from the gods, so the greeks go to nature to find moral conclusions, in which they have to search for answers, and that is why they are philosophers. Greeks fear the anger of the gods, because if you anger the gods they will work against you.
