These villages saw in cortes some kind of liberation. Superiority of the spaniards in weaponry and transportation. Powder is often wet & not many horses. Spaniards won quickly because of the decisive importance of communication. A collision of misunderstandings that could most adaptively respond to the confusion. What wins is the effective use and interpretation of communication.
