Three magnitude 8+ earthquakes in 1811 and 1812 in missouri: the mississippi river owed backwards! What happened: an earthquake: mag 4. 6 on sept 26, 1990 in southeast missouri, vague prediction of an earthquake for december 3rd made by dr. iben browning. He argues that these earthquakes were triggered by the gravitational attraction of the moon and other planets (periodicity of the alignments is 179 years) 1811 was last peak and next peak was december 3rd 1990. Shops sell out of ashlights, sleeping bags, canned food, batteries, and booze 3. Many people left town, others camped outside for the weekend 4. The moon"s gravitational pull does affect the solid earth but it does not cause earthquakes. The last time the planets lined up was 1982 and nothing happened (also no major earthquakes 179 or 358 years ago) Thursday, november 6, 2014: interval of time when it will occur, area of location, magnitude range, probability earthquake will occur by chance.
