Trying to develop an alternative for young men from 18-24: reset. South west philly educator: provide residential program: education, mental health support (things they were not provided beforehand a truly restorative system, people are receptive to this. Great-grandfather was a slave, got out, got education and become a minister: started out at a reset campus, in his blood. Triage, non profits dealing with the issues that the government should be taking care of. Morning: see issues, afternoon: start non-profit, evening: receive awards. Reset: led by two privileged, mormon women. Need to consider how these organizations are serving hetero-patriarchy and hetero-normative ends when they are supposed to be fighting for social justice issues. Belief that leadership should be white (incarcerated people cannot be the executive director of a non-profit)
