Baby boom: peaked in 1957: effects of baby boom: effected families social patterns, women left their jobs. There were not enough teachers and room, more schools were built, more money went into schools. Population increase: death rate declined because of better medicine. Agricultural farmers often left jobs to find new work. War had produced increased movement and mobility of citizens. The war pulled people to certain areas. Most movement to western part of the country.
