The end of politics is the best of ends; and the main concern of politics is to engender a certain character in the citizens and to make them good & disposed to perform noble actions. There is no place for industry no culture of the earth no society continual fear & danger of violent death, and the life of man solitary, poor, nasty, brutish & short.
