Mate choice - you don"t want to commit to someone for the long haul without knowingwho they are, not relying on schemas. E. g. study partner - your grade depends on how your study partner contributes to the group. Outcomes are dependent in part by who i choose to marry, etc. When my outcomes are dependent in that way, i am going to be careful to not just rely on preexisting schematic knowledge. E. g. endorsing a friend or relative for a job.
