Farce: special opportunity for the fulfillment of our unmentionable wishes without having to face the consequences. Example of plays that we have read that contain farce: the lieutenant of inishmore & Marc mcdonough: he will mention a detail that will seem random and later on, it becomes an important plot point. Called satire, named after saturn, mythological creature named after centaur (human body w/ goat legs). Playwrights often wrote 3 tragedies and a satyr plays, usually written about temporary people.
