His relationship with the media was interesting and the piece of him as a president that people still talk about today. How did reagan"s background prepare him for star in chief i. ) It prepared him to be presidential, if not preparing him for the work of being president. (1) what role did new media formats play in reagan"s election? b. ) How was reagan perceived by the media during his time as president? c. ) in your opinion, was he the great communicator, or was he just another iteration of showbiz politics? . Born in illinois in 1911, from a middle class family. Graduated from college in 1932 and immediately moved to hollywood. Until he goes into politics he has no job that isn"t showbiz.
