Leading us into the topic of beliefs and attitudes. Life expectancy, infant mortality, teenage birth etc. are very high in the us in relation to other industrialized countries. It is essential for people to have role models so we can feel like we belong and gives us the ability to overcome any doubts we have. We have to identify the factors that helps us. Resilience comes about when you are in an environment that is very supportive. It helps empower people when they realize that people treat you differently not because of the way you are but simply because of your beliefs or color. Behavioral: there are actions or observable behavior towards the attitude object. It includes behavioral tendencies more likely to order pizza from a restaurant where someone is friendly to you. Attitudes are directed towards qualities or characteristics that are relevant. E. g. what you expect a president to be like suited etc.
