The law began on the basis of shortages: a person who was disabled and needed resources must be killed to spare the re- sources they used up (food, medicine, space). 1st of september 1939: sent letter to medical branch that gave permission and cover to the physi- cians that had to judge whether or not a patient was worthy of life. Hospitals began to build special wings (parts) for the murder program. Killed by narcotic injection (too personal, too time consuming, not efficient enough) First gas chambers were actually used agains german citizens that had been identified under the t4. Program (experiments w/ gas, who would be in the chamber, who would be paired up with who, how much gas?) Were often told that they were going to take shower, but instead they entered gas chambers were they were poisoned by carbon monoxide gas. Hitler lied and said that he would disremember.
