Hook up: casual sexual encounters that happen outside of romantic intentions or commitment may or may not include intercourse. Hook up culture: held up as an ideal a norm on college campuses. Hookups often involve alcohol on avg prior to hooking up men have 6 drinks and women have 4 drinks. Often categorized around giving men pleasure more than women: men tend to dramatically overestimate how often their partners orgasms, or some men are lying, other men have no clue or women are faking orgasms. Orgasm gap: 44% men 19% women more likely to increase with more hook ups. Same sex relationships: women report 2-3 as many orgasms as women in heterosexual relationships. Slut shaming: practice of maligning women for presumed sexual activity. College women participate in slut shaming: to express class differences among themselves, to express their class dominance if they"re privileged.
