Bedbugs like to stay near where the food (the person) will be o o. Will most likely be found within a five to ten foot radius of the host. This accounts for much of the area in a hotel room. When looking for evidence of bedbugs, check the mattress especially along the seams (looking for dark brown spots) Check bed frame and beside headboard and along trim of wall. Look for drops of blood on the bedding. Hotels can implement several early detection methods to find bedbugs o. Interception devices - placed around legs of bed and couches and traps that go on the wall near the floor. Placed where the bugs travel to get to the host, more likely to find them there. Some just use adhesive/sticky surface to trap bugs as they pass by. Others use co2 or chemical lures to attract them and then adhesive to trap them when they enter.
