Symptoms of distress are experienced primarily internally. Behavior is upsetting to and difficult for others. Infants: genetic disorders (small percentage), autism spectrum disorders, intellectual. Disabilities, attachment disorders (kids in orphanages or homes without consistent love and care) Preschoolers: fear and anxiety disorders (separation anxiety), disruptive behavior. Disorders, enuresis and encopresis (wetting the bed and defecating in places you shouldn"t) , sleep disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders.
