We have to tax the peasants and for whatever they buy, and convince them to join com. Force the living standards of millions of peasants. If you were going to do this, then you have to put a lot of force in it and this wont be productive. Buy machinery and tools, there will be more production. Stalin gets rid of these people, and enforces his own terms. He laun(cid:272)hes his o(cid:449)n re(cid:448)olution (cid:449)ithout anyone"s (cid:272)on(cid:272)erns. Cultural revolution: took millions of peasants, turn them into independent farmers to collective farmers controlled by the government, create a new russian proletariat, educated, technical people, managerial people, educational revolution. He moved people according to the rhythm of the machines. It was a cultural change because there was freedom and expression, ex: artist, painter, composer. Urban revolution: russia was not urban yet, but was better than before. Why? (cid:862) he (cid:449)as (cid:271)eaten (cid:271)y her (cid:271)a(cid:272)k(cid:449)ardness(cid:863) he as in russia.
