Transformative aspects of law: categories, property law, replevin action, law enables the protection of property, contract law. A defensible right to a transaction, or proof of sale contract. Insurance contract, protects your property at the event of loss: criminal law. A deterrent for wrongdoers, defines theft and thus turns objects into assets: constitutional law. Diffusion of power via law: law gives multiple avenues of power, multiple ways for parties to assert their argument, not any one entity calls the shots, example: fracking, concerns, property law - company (private law/contract negotiation) Conditional use zoning can be implemented by citizens of community: for every well in use certain conditions have to be made as defined by the community, these are requirements that can be specific to the community. Emption : pre-emption means that upper levels of government have the power to pass laws that supercede local laws, state constitution - environmental law (state supreme court/supreme court)
