Document Summary

Arguments can be good or bad in different ways. Some of them are good and some are bad, but they"re good and bad in different ways. Barack obama lives in washington and lives in america. Also, it"s true that if he lives in washington he lives in america. It"s clear that argument 1 is a good argument. The conclusion has to be true as long as the premises are true. The premises are true and the conclusion is true, just like in. If all you knew was that barack obama lived in. America and that if he lives in washington he lives in america, it wouldn"t be enough to tell you that barack obama lives in washington. So the premises don"t say enough to support the conclusion. The premises aren"t connected to the conclusion in the right way, so they don"t say enough to guarantee that the conclusion is true.
