Transgender; identifying as a different gender ex: male by sex but female by gender. Typically used to describe humans since other species cannot verbally express what they identify as: sexual reproduction. Offspring has genetic material (dna) from two parents. Doesn"t always mean intercourse or males vs. females: some organisms change sex naturally as part of their lives, multiple genders, humans. Based on chromosomes, anatomy, eggs/sperm: male: xy (makes sperm, female: xx (makes eggs)
