Document Summary

This is the view many people have of morality today, although, this is not necessarily a correct view: the difference between moral ideals and moral rules is that ideals are the perfect aspects which we can not achieve. Moral rules on the other hand are tools to help keep our bodies in obedience and the right function. The danger of calling moral rules ideals is that it might lead us to believe that our image of moral ideals is secluded to our own image of perfection, not meant for others. The moral law is the same for everyone, and does not change on another person"s ideals: three parts of morality, fair play and harmony between individuals, harmonizing the things inside an individual, what man is made for. It is like a symphony because first, you need each musician to come in at the right time and play together, and you need each player"s individual instrument to be in tune.
