A study of aesthetics: the history of art. Parthenon is based off the symmetric of the greeks and greeks believed that art should be symmetrical. Aesthetics applies to: all arts, music, architecture, food, design, fashion. Similar to how new clothing makes us feel. History is about the evolution of aesthetic principles. Ethics have become an important element of how we aesthetically address art. Morals- personal beliefs that we generally do not expose. Ethics- something that is outside of ourselves- outside of society. You can ethically believe something and morally believe something else and they can ethically coincide: ex. What possible problems arise when we change the aesthetics of a traditional, well-accepted play: ex. Were aesthetically forced to see something we"re not used to. Considered to be first feminist play- very important play of the time: women leaves her husband at the very end of the play. Women are 6 foot and men are 4 foot.
