Sumerian civilization remained important after the all of sumer. Sumerian culture, as they were helpful to meet their needs. Sumerian science and technology was useful throughout the time of empires; thus, it was unchanged. Social classes provided an efficient form of organization, and as a result, they were kept in effect. The babylonian empire reached its peak during the reign of hammurabi from 1792. His greatest legacy is his assembled code of laws. Hammurabi"s code was an excellent guideline of laws at its time, as it provided a single recognized, uniform code of laws unified diverse groups of empire. Indo-europeans were nomadic peoples who came from the steppes, dry grasslands that stretched north of the caucasus between the black/caspian seas. Hittites- an indo-european people who settled in anatolia (asia minor a peninsula in modern day turkey, a rocky plateau rich in timber and agriculture) around 2000 b. c. e. They dominated southwest asia for 450 years, taking over babylon.
