Program music is heard in the concert hall well played by an orchestra, but also at graduation ceremonies and other large events. Suggestive music- the title can suggest: the idea of the program, a poem or novel, accompanies a dramatic work such as a play or film. Four major musical forms of program music for the concert hall: program symphony, symphonic poem/tone poem, incidental music, concert overture. The program was an integral part of the composition- new! The id e fixe represents the image of the beloved that will never leave the desperate lover"s consciousness. A long piece of program music for orchestra in which the music depicts a story, scene, or mood. Similar to program symphonies, but without inner form. Tone poem- symphonic poem renamed in late romantic era.
