All three of these are parts of the book of rights. The great learning was seen as the first of the four great books. The rearrangement and commentary was unorthodox, but became the orthodox. There might be a lack of distinction--8 steps of great learning. What significance is carried for heaven & earth--layering of knowledge from a single phenomenon. We are talking about deep, fundamental knowledge that overwhelms one"s urges. Implication of the burrowing down, and wishing to be sincere in their thoughts, -->interact with the world. Approach what is taught, not actually know what is taught. To be driven to do something does not mean it will not hurt.
