Experience is extend of which one can have an internal experience of the world: agency is feeling of being in control and the actual ability of controlling of things, actually creating change in the world. The nature of consciousness: consciousness has four basic properties. Intentionality: being directed toward an object: unity: resistance to division. Selectivity: capacity to include some objects bit not others. Dichotic listening: only intended message coming in. Motor plan is generated before you make the active decision to move finger. Motor cortex makes decision before i feel the intention/will to do something. Illusion of control, idea that we don"t have free will: default network. Default network lights up at base line in a brain scan, compare with activation after regulation occurs. Self referential tasks and mind wondering activates parts of brain, usually not actively monitored by your own brain.
