American economic decline: the first part of the case that a power shift is occurring is the us"s economic decline. Hard power-soft power: many question america"s capacity to lead based off wars in iraq, torture policies and the gfc. A new asian century: asia"s weigt in the world economy has definitely risen but it still has a long way to go.
