Why do people become violent, competitive? (considered negative) Why are people cooperation, reconciliation, and empathetic? (considered positive) Focus on breaking laws and we are looking at the biology of it. Looking at what is going on inside our brain; one is genetic, one is pre natal environment, and the early childhood we are in. (have no control over these things) These 3 things influence what we do in a much larger way than we think. Ex: ecological play football can have an effect on what you do (may cause you to be domestically violent) No, because we are motivated by other factors. We look at what happened from that action. Biology is about the average person not all people. Influence that it has on behavior and when we discuss this we are discussing the average. Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that geroge carlin.
