Subcultures share parts of the same culture but differ in some ways. Us is one of the most culturally diverse countries. Ex: culture of the southern us specific foods, shag, etc. Ex: administrators dress because of culture not because of convenience. Tourist gaze tourists want a taste of a new culture but still want the comforts from their own culture so they don"t feel overwhelmed. Culture shock psychological withdrawal when someone has been placed suddenly into an entirely different culture. Because tourists don"t want to experience cultures in their entirety large profits are made in the tourist industry from creating a false sense of exoticism how their ancestors actually dressed or acted. Ex: cherokee chiefing acting like how the tourists want them to act, but not. Ethnocentrism your way of life and your culture is natural and right and the cultures and beliefs of others are unnatural and need to be changed to be right.
