The scientific method (has a sort of flow) (1) observation and description of natural phenomena. (2) formulation of a hypothesis to explain phenomena, with clearly-stated predictions that must be falsifiable. Falsifiable able to prove it wrong/ reject the hypothesis. (3) hypothesis testing against empirical evidence (i. e. data) Gather empirical evidence to see if it supports or refutes our potential explanation we come up with. (4) eventually, if the hypothesis has not been falsified after repeated empirical test Theory (robustly supported set of generalization that allow us to predict what happens under particular condition and why) Science is a self-correcting process falsifiability is a key defining trait of the scientific process. Theory"s because they stood up to things that have countered their claims. Set of hypotheses that have no been rejected despite all efforts to do so.
