The genetic traits that helped our ancestors survive, are passed down to us. Many women are genetically predisposed to certain traits. Controversial because our behavior is genetically determined and difficult to change. Mate selection: this might explain mate selection. Why we choose different attitudes in casual sex. Suggests that men will follow a reproductive strategy that will let them impregnate as many women as possible. Women, can carry for a limited quantity of children. Women should prefer older men, because have more resources. Men should want younger women, because they are more fertile. Highlighted in a study, that men and women were asked what min intelligent would they like in someone they were dated, they all said average. But then actually dating, women said really smart and men didn"t care.
