Community make or break a holiday they may be directly or indirectly involved. It should have a say about tourism development may be involved, participative, empowered by tourism or not. Every community is heterogeneous and dynamic tourism brings new opportunities, and attracts migrants with different characteristics and can create problems increase in land prices, different social organisation, changed cultural values, affecting social cohesion. What is understood as small varies (in uk < 50 employees, micro is less than 10 employees). As tourism develops the informal sector increases and diversifies (dahles 1999). Small scale tourism often emerges in a bottom up dynamic fashion in response to demand. Small scale enterprises offer greater opportunities for profit and control to local people (rodenburg 1980).
