The reading for this week covers the topic of urban open spaces and the way residents
use these areas to adapt to their climate. Richter and Weiland include the issue of the
different types of ways that urban buildings can store heat and how this temperature
can have a potential impact on health in the UK in the future. The paper also covers
the different ways that residents of a city use open space throughout the day.
