Legendary founder of athens: cecrops, doesn"t call it athens. One day hephaestus gets hots for athena. He chases her and she obviously runs faster. He gets too excited and semen falls into grass where erechthonius is born. Athena puts baby erechthonius in chest and gives to a group of daughters and say don"t open it but take care of it. They open it sees a half snake and freak out. Jumps off and dies: grandson becomes first king of athens. All three gets honored in temple along with athena and poseidon. Grandson is displaced by uncle: 4 sons of displaced grandson comes back and reclaims the throne, they rule jointly. Son is theus: putos survives and they have 6. Meets highway man robs them (called clubman) Theus when clubman jumps out, grabs the club and clubs him. From then on he carries a club just like hercules.
