Gods bring order to universe and earth (greeks saw this) Zeus has certain atributes: thunder, lightning, eagle, epithet (phrases: king of god and men) : used in illiad and odyssey. Someimes used epithet but not name such as thunderer (zeus) Zeus is a player: sleeps around (superhusband, hera isn"t happy about this, above human expectaions, zeus but of joke. Most greek males are married: not weird if they have a mistress and male lover on the side. Theis is acilles mom: honor son acilles and grant trojans victory, theis clasp zeus need and begs zeus. Book 2 76: gloaing over what he can do. Book 12: son sarpedon (not a trojan, but allied with them ighing with troy, zeus intervenes because sarpedon faited to die. Zeus intervenes so sarpedon is seen as a (wow) man.
