He was the 4th son of kangxi but was not supposed to be the heir to throne. Kanxi"s original heir was his 2nd son because he loved that son"s mother. It turns out that this child was very evil and violent. He was also gay which at the time, was viewed as bad thing in ancient china and would have sex with underage slaves, which is bad even today. However, kangxi still kept the son as his heir and blamed his son"s actions on the monks. After he banished these monks, the son tried to stage a coup against his own father. When the coup failed, kangxi placed him under house arrest. Kangxi was hurt by his son"s betrayal and never could name another heir. The chinese people began to campaign for a very handsome warrior, who was the 12th son of. While this son was in tibet, kangxi fell ill and died.
