All pretty much comedies, meddleys, improvs, and other things to flute music. As american musical theatre starts to develop it falls back into the pattern of roman theatre. Vaudeville also comes back to this format. Miser (old bitter man who wants everything done his way) Lover (hero is in love with this character) Braggart (thought they were totally capable but really moron) The first form of opera to evolve. High art = elite (created by and for the elite) Opera seria is high art created for and by the elite. Recitatives (striking a pose and singing lalalalalala . Little tiny moments of not singing vibrato. Costumes becomes more simple to allow for more movement. Fancier versions of what people might wear in real life. Elevated (not realistic) but styled to be a fancier version.
