Document Summary

In my opinion, the government today is representative of a cooperative. Federalism federalism because the national and state share certain powers, while they are separate with their specific powers. Their shared powers are called concurrent powers, which include setting up court systems, making laws to provide for public health, borrowing money and collecting taxes. They both have the right to agree/disagree on any of the concurrent powers and both have to work together to get the situations settled. Yet, they have their own individual laws inside of the states and powers within the national government. The states have their own courts before moving on to the supreme court, setting up public schools, holding elections and controlling trade within the state. While, the national government can declare war and peace, set citizenship laws, admit new states, control trade between states and foreign countries alongside printing money.
