Because of your race or sexual orientation you are ascribed attitudes and beliefs that may or may not apply to you: functionalist, world changes so fast it is hard to keep up, ex. Undercover boss- the ceo of dunkin donuts doesn"t get up at 5 am and make the donuts, he doesn"t know how: labels of deviant and non deviant are attached to people subjectively, ex. Interactionist: secondary deviance is those people showing the rest of society their deviance.
