Rock and roll directly attributed to alan reed. No difference between r & b and rock and roll. R & b previously associated with black population. Rock and roll more associated with white. White versions of black songs that they thought would fill the need. White parents could now be more accepting of music. Later recorded by bill haley & the comets. No piano undertone, added electrical guitar (?) Loved r & b music, white kids. More drums, faster, make it less r & b.
