The power elite: the power elite is composed of men (people) whose positions are able to transcend the lives of ordinary men and women and whose decisions can have major consequences. The power elite are not alone: they usually have armies of managers under them. Celebrities usually associate themselves with the power elite: there are some that do not believe we have a power elite . There are 3 main groups of the power elite: business (economic, political, military. Power = those who able to realize their will whether these people choose to. Friday, january 25, 2019: someone being able to force their will even if it is resisted. Wealth and power: there are always dense connections between wealth and power. Mass media: most of the media is owned by 2 or 3 major companies. Most of the information is coming from a small group so they are able to shape the public opinion: ex: rupert murdoch.
