The medical humanities for lack of a better term. Written for people in the medical field (physicians) Founding of the discipline and how it started. Not supposed to be too emotionally connected- might. distancing is what they are taught at school (1st affect the diagnosis page; last paragraph) Pro- neither option is good, but you know which one to choose (emotions might cloud judgement) Sometimes for own self to stop their own depression. This could also affect future patients because he/she is upset. Taking care of a patient that did something wrong, you must do something. May cause you to try super hard to find the best cure for the patient. Too much distancing turns it from something meaningful into a financially rewarding technical challenge. Lots of types of people attended this conference. What kinds of models does he propose? o. Training (sea change)- but it would be a quick one that no one would take seriously.
