Preachers and pastors who use their position of power to benefit financially. So if a family thinks their child is a witch they will go to preacher to find a solution. The preacher will charge fees to treat the child. 1- the hierarchy between adults and children/adolescents used to be clear- immense respect to adults by children because parents invest a lot in their children. This makes the child in debt (debtor) and feel that he/she must obey elders. Due to globalization, children start to find economic niches that make them able to make more money than parents (giving them more power and status than parents). However, this quick gain of wealth is suspicious especially in farming communities where a lot of work goes into making wealth. For this reason, people think that the children are witches since they do not work yet make a lot of money. 2- children as scapegoats- children seen as the source of all evil.
