Mercury may contain water chemically bounded to its surface but its surface but is unlikely to contain any liquid water. Its temperature does not allow for liquid water. Like moon it has ice in craters located at its poles. Venus is earth"s sister planet because of their identical size. Venus"s temperature, if possessing the same atmosphere on earth would have a surface temperature of 35 degrees celcius. Its surface temperature is actually 470 degrees celcius night and day. Pressure on venus is also 90 times of earths. Atmosphere on venus contains sulfuric acid and other toxic chemicals. Landers sent to venus were quickly destroyed by the heat. Venus" atmospheric conditions are caused by an enhanced greenhouse effect. Runaway greenhouse effect; comes primarily from high levels of co2 in the atmosphere. Remains because none of the co2 was turned into carbonate rock like on earth. Venus is too hot for any liquid water or any potential liquid suitable for life.
