Momentum: the product of an objects mass and its velocity (mass x velocity) Forces of some kind are always present. Net force: represents the combined effect of all the individual forces put together (overall force) A change in momentum only occurs when the net force is zer0. An object must accelerate whenever a net force acts on it. Mass: the amount of matter in your body.
