Document Summary

Kant says i have my ethical duty to pay my taxes because he likes his share of things. Universability is not the same as do unto others like you want them to do unto you. Do your duty because it is your duty. Perfect duty- perfect means complete, all the time. You always have a duty to not commit suicide. Never lie, ever, to anybody no matter what. Imperfect duty- not all the time, if you have the right circumstances. The end of a pen is to write, the end of a doctor is to promote health. Every person is valuable, only because they are a person. Use people as a means (not only as a means) but respect their dignity. Ethical if you respect them, and remember their dignity. Autonomy- self governing, because you are making your own reasoning. Heteronomy- mixed, if your will is heteronomous, it is mixed and not pure.
