Princeton study- evaluated student prejudice against groups of people with different nationalities. Similar study- less agreement among student however the stereotype was different. Similar study- the stereotype had changed from negative to positive(still a stereotype) Dolls study- do stereotypes have some influence on the people they"re about- found in children that their self esteem wes less. People report fewer prejudices today than in the past. Study 1: white ps; black and white job interviewees . White person was going to interview a white and black candidates. Black candidate- terminated interview sooner, sat away from person. Study 2: white interviewees but treated as blacks and whites had been treated in study. Social identity theory - part of your identity comes from the groups you identity with.
