Document Summary

Among the three lonely and inconvenient thinkers, nietzsche is certainly the loneliest, darkest and most extravagant. His philosophy is like a quarry in which one can find everything, and also its opposite; in his own words, his thought is not theory, but "dynamite". He was a visionary, a prophet and a madman, and as such he had foreseen with great lucidity some future trends of the 20th century. To this day he is deeply repudiated by some and exalted by others; no one can remain indifferent to this 19th century thinker of the world. Friedrich wilhelm (frederick william) nietzs - born in 1844 in prussian saxony (germany) as the son of a lutheran pastor who died five years later. He was raised in a pious and feminine environment, which influenced him for his whole life and explains somewhat his attacks against. Nietzsche was a student of the famous pforta intern, where he became familiar with greek culture.
