Second stage: generativity vs. stagnation (35years -55/65 years) Very creative, sees yourself as an adult. Midlife crisis- don"t feel they are contributing adequately to society. Not a lot of money, kids drive him crazy, wife isn"t attractive. Ditches entire family that they have in order to start a new one and have a trophy wife. Women don"t necessarily need a criss; their goal is to get married and have kids (feel like they need to have one) Looking over entire life making sure they accomplished their goals that they wanted and that they feel good about their accomplishments (integrity is in tact and have no regrets.
