Unconsciousness- (underwater) compromises experiences that are driven away due to anxiety. Things that your mind is making you forget. Personality principal- based upon id, ego, superego. Id- born with it; operates on pleasure principal- wants what it wants when it wants it; doesn"t care about anyone else. Ego- (age 3) reality principal; ego tries to satisfy needs of id but in regards to environment/reality. Wanting to punch someone in the face is id, but ego will say don"t punch someone when people are around. Superego- (age 5) morality principle; all about what is right- must regulate between id and ego to make it balanced. Most people who commit crimes have a lot of id but have ego which helps them not get caught. Everything we do is driven by aggression or sex.
